In Mizoram, an RC (Registration Certificate) renewal is necessary every 15 years, and has to be completed in 60 days after expiry. You need to attaching the original RC, valid insurance and address proof documents. Submit all these to your nearest RTO office (in Aizawl it is the Chaltlang Transport Office) and pay the due fee. A vehicle inspection is also involved depending upon your application (particularly for a new vehicle). A renewed RC will be issued after verification.
